Description: Sermorelin is a 29-amino-acid synthetic peptide corresponding to the N-terminal biologically active region of human growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH(1–29); growth hormone-releasing factor, GRF). It binds pituitary GHRH receptors (GHRHR) and stimulates endogenous growth hormone (GH) secretion. In research settings, sermorelin is used to investigate GH axis function and regulation of pulsatile GH release, including age-associated changes in GH signaling and downstream insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) physiology.
