Description: IGF-1 LR3 (Long R3 insulin-like growth factor-1) is a recombinant analog of human IGF-1 engineered with an arginine substitution at position 3 (Glu3→Arg) and a 13-amino-acid N-terminal extension. These modifications reduce affinity for insulin-like growth factor binding proteins (IGFBPs) and increase availability for IGF-1 receptor (IGF1R) signaling in experimental systems. IGF-1 LR3 is used in research settings to investigate IGF1R-mediated signaling, cell growth and survival pathways, and IGF-dependent metabolic responses (including glucose uptake) in cellular and tissue models.
